Thank YOU! - The last recap of the year

The last day of 2010 turned out to be a friday. That's perfect, because friday is Weekly Recap day. And what else should I do than modify the weekly recap post a bit and turn it into a 2010 recap.

A recap in which I say thank you...

2010 in one word or phrase:
I wish it would have been better

 i was dreaming of:
Traveling. All the time!

songs on repeat:
Always Love - Nada Surf (I don't know why, but I could listen to this song all day long)
Never miss a beat - Kaiser Chiefs (back in the times when I went to school and was frustated all the time)
Tom Milsom! (on the train and everywhere else)
Like it's Quidditch - NicePeter (on repeat three days long)

I want to say thank you to all my followers. For spending another year with me on the internet. For being friends. For all your comments. For comments that made me smile. For comments that made me cry in a positive way (I'm talking about the comments I got on my Giveaway results post. I couldn't publish all the comments, because of personal information the winners left in the comments. I never get such wonderful comments before. THANK YOU!).

Meet my new friends

You love sheep, don't you? I love them!
My friend Hannah came home for Christmas (she goes to a Bible school in Sweden) and today we spent the day outside. We went for a long walk and snuggled with the sheep :D

Say hello to Silvester. He's a cutie.

Awww! Aren't they cute? I'm not sure, but I think that's Silvester, Matilde and Miss Marple

Bye, bye! Hope to see you soon!

Day 04 - my friends.

A post about a few of my good friends.

My friends.
I don't have that many friends and at the moment I have no friends in Vienna.
I have four amazing friends. I love them, but they are not here.

Ines - Ines is something like my best friend. She knows nearly everything about me and whenever I have a problem I can tell her. We went to school together and it was an amazing time.
She now lives in Graz, a town in Austria, were she studies to become a doctor.
I miss her :(

Hannah - an other friend from school. I talked about her here
She is in Sweden now.
I miss her too :(

Kathrin - Kathrin is a girl from Germany. I met her on the internet and we became friends. I visited her in July and it was the first time that I met her in person. It's a pity that she lives that far away. :(

Lena - I met Lena at a writing workshop and after the week was over we started to write e-mails. Our mails are more like chats. We write short sentences about what we are doing write now and such stuff. It's so much fun. Whenever I want to tell someone something funny or what I'm doing write now I write Lena an e-mail and only a few minutes later I get an answer.
Do you want to know how many mails we wrote (Lena and me together)? About 12600!
Lena is now in Sweden too. :(

I miss all my friends!

Party...

Thank you for your comments on my last post. Honestly, I didn't expected that many comments. It was good to read your opinions and I hope it gets better soon...

Here are some pictures of Hannah's birthday-say-goodbye-party. We had so much fun and it would have been even more fun for me, if I hadn't had a terrible cold :(
Most of the pictures are quite blurry. As soon as I have some money left (haha, best joke ever!) I have to buy a new camera.

building groups to play ball. I didn't join the game because of my cold :(

Love this shot! Too sad that is that blurry. It's nearly impossible to take pictures of moving people with my camera. They all turn out blurry.

blurry, blurry, blurry

chatting

Hannah's dog. Cutest dog ever and one of the few dogs I'm not scared of. Yes, I'm afraid of dogs, but Hannah's dog is super cute! :)

Fooood! Yummie!

Bye Hannah, I'll miss you!
(okay, Hannah doesn't read my blog, but anyway... ;)

You don't have Facebook? Let's stop being friends...

On Thursday I went to the party of one of my best friends (Hannah). It was a birthday and say-goodbye party, because she'll leave us next Saturday for a year. She's going to Sweden on a Bible school. That's pretty cool, but it's hard to say goodbye to someone special like Hannah.

Hannah and I are friends since we first met and this was 10 years ago! Oh, I can't believe it. 10 years!
We went to school together, so we saw each other nearly everyday, but now school is over and Hannah's going to Sweden and I don't know what happens with our friendship. I'm wondering what happens with all my friends from school. I haven't seen them much since school ended in June and it was already strange to meet them at the party. It was strange, because of some of my friends I didn't hear anything the last months. That's sad, because I wrote them e-mails but they didn't respond.

And then they talked about something at the party which made me think about my friends a lot. The thing is, that all my friends have Facebook, except me. I don't have Facebook and I don't want to have Facebook, because I think it's not the right way to keep in touch with your friends. It's not really personal and many people aren't like in real life on Facebook.

Years ago I didn't even wanted to write e-mails, because letters are more personal, but then I realised that sometimes it is easier to write e-mails (and less expensive) and I learned how to find good friends on the internet. I started writing e-mails and I write a lot of e-mails and also long and personal ones. Sometimes I don't write back that fast, but I always answer my e-mails.

People started writing e-mails because they were too lazy to write letters and now people seems to use Facebook, because they are too lazy to write e-mails! What's going on?

The thing is, that my friends who have Facebook have no problem to keep in touch with each other, but it seems to be to complicated and time consuming to write me an e-mail to say Hi and tell me how they are doing.
That's sad. I don't want to lose my friends. I love my friends, but what kind of friends are they?

I'm a bit disappointed, because it feels like they don't even try to keep in contact with me.
My best friend Ines and I always wrote e-mails and she knows nearly everything about me, but since school is over I got only three or four short e-mails from her. She told me that she is too busy to write e-mails. But at the party she talked about things she did on Facebook. I don't understand it anymore. She has time for Facebook, but writing an e-mail is impossible?

I really don't know what to think about my friends. And I'm sorry for this post, it's just what's going on in my mind at the moment.

Do you have Facebook? How do you keep in touch with friends?

I'll post pictures of the party hopefully tomorrow.

Vienna!

Here are some more pictures of our trip to the capital.

The Natural History Museum.

We didn't went there, but we went to the Museum of Art History, which is opposite the Natural History Museum and the buildings look the same.
I'm not that interested in paintings, but we went there because it's free for people under 19 and L. and I are both 18 and we decided that we want to go to every museum (which is free under 19) in Vienna before our birthdays. The funny thing is, that the man at the museum who checked the tickets believed that we are two you women who want to write an article about the museum for a newspaper! Really strange, but funny! :D I have no idea why he thought we are journalists (or something like that) and we didn't write a word in there...

I'm not a fan of paintings, but I loved the architecture of the building. Simply amazing!

And of course some paintings...

After the museum we went shopping and to a market and of course, we went to the Schönbrunn castle.

We wanted to spend some time there to relax and enjoy the beautiful park and the roses. What we didn't expected was, that there was a brass band festival!

brass bands everywhere! L. and I called it "an Austrian nightmare" :D

We quickly escaped to the park and that's where we met our new little friend.

All in all we had a great day. Vienna is always worth a visit...

Bye! :)

The world is photogenic

It's friday half past seven in the evening, I have a cold and I'm tired, tired and...yes, I think I'm tired. Tired because I have a cold and tired because I don't like it to get up early in the morning.
Today I wanted to post something creative, but I was too tired to do anything... ;)

The only thing I have to share are photos I took this week. Some photos of my autumn walk with Hannah. We went around three hours!

Somewhere...also known as photogenic landscape

some cute goats! They were really photogenic. They always looked in the same direction straight to the camera ;)
At this picture Hannah took a photo right beside me, so the goats looked at her...

a BIG photogenic mashroom! Hannah took it with her after taking photos of it...

and a photogenic spider - and a beautiful one too...

Have a nice weekend!

Fun of Friday

Today there was a terrible heat! Real summer!
After two hours dancing, I went with Hannah to a flea market. It was great fun to look around and we found lots of strange things. But I only bought a little metal tea box.
Then we decided to spend the afternoon at the small lake in the nearby village. So we went there by bike and enjoyed the sun and the water.

Some photos:

Have a nice weekend!
