wrecking wednesday.

Happy Wrecking Wednesday from a very exhausted Antonia.

Draw fat lines and then thin. Pushing really hard with the pencil.
Or a dwarf between weird plants.

Tear strips. Rip it up! and Glue, staple or tape these pages together.
Two pages at once. I stapled the pages together at the top. And used Laura Laakso's beautiful artwork for decoration.

Place sticky things  here. (honey, gum, syrup, glue, sucker, marshmallow).
Since I believe it's way to disgusting to put use gum, honey, marshmallow etc. to cover this page, I simply used stickers. Who doesn't love them? :)

wrecking wednesday.

It's Wednesday again. Unbelievable how time flies...

Write one word over and over.
I don't even know how many times I wrote the word looniness on this page. I love the word looniness. It's such a lovely word. By the way, I put one other word on this page. It's somewhere, go find it ;)

Drip something here. (ink, paint, tea). Close the book to make a print.
I used yellow ink. Pretty result, although these things always remind me of the Rorschach test. The most ridiculous idea psychologists ever had.

Create a nonstop line.
I did this while Castiel was assbutting Michael.
Or for normal people: I did this while watching the finale of Supernatural Season 5. And I probably have to re-watch it, because I missed everything because I was too busy drawing a nonstop line.

wrecking wednesday. (on a thursday).

I was way too busy running around in Graz to post something on here. My job hunt is going slow. I'm still very confused and lost.
My search for a new apartment is going a bit better. At least something.
Only annoying thing is, that I have to go back an forth between Fürstenfeld and Graz, which is annoying and expensive.
You can't even imagine how much I'm looking forward to living in Graz again. It's weird. I want to leave this country so badly, but at the same time I feel so comfortable here, where, for the first time in my life, I have a working social life. It's great. And at the same time it sucks massively.

Anyway.
Back to Wrecking Wednesday...on a Thursday....

Close this journal. Write/scribble something on the edges.
One of the first things I did to this journal. And I love it. I love that my journal edges say "There is too much butter on those trays. No no, senor. Uno, dos tres."
And I love what I did to this page. Although the background on the right is a bit Simpsons-ish.

Close your eyes. Connect the dots from memory.
It started off very well...but then...

There is page in the journal that tells you to doodle over top of the cover, the title page, the instructions and the copyright page.
I started with the title page. I used nail polish to create this explosion of colors. I try to use as many different painting materials as possible.

Talk to you soon!

wrecking wednesday.

I purchased a Wreck this Journal book about a month or two ago. I wanted one for a while now. I like the idea so much, because I love doing creative stuff, but it happens all the time that I think of doing art and as soon as I sit there with a blank piece of paper I have no idea how to get started.
This book gives you instructions and ideas to try different things. It makes you hungry for more. You do the pages in the journal and you suddenly can't stop and want to do more. Outside the journal.
Even though I was really looking forward to it I didn't get started until now. It's not that easy after all. I was flipping through it every other day, put it away, picked it up again...as usual I didn't know where to begin.
This weekend I finally said to myself "screw it, just do it" and I did my first page. I didn't like how it turned out, at all. I'll probably work on it again. But it helped to get into it. I've done quite a few pages already and I like some of them a lot.
I'm going to share some (maybe three?) of my wrecked journal pages every Wednesday. They're nice to look at and maybe some of you get inspired to get a journal as well or do any other kind of art or crafting.

This page is for handprints or fingerprints. Get them dirty then press down.
A bit like kindergarten all over again. It's so simple and it was fun. I can't deny it.

Color outside of the lines.
Crazy screaming chicken pooping a radioactive green egg? Happy pre-Easter time!

A page for four-letter words.
I like how it says "A page for four-letter LUST words" now. Yes, I did that on purpose.
I loved doing this. Give me a scissor and some magazines and I'm happy. But you won't believe how hard it is to count letters in a word around midnight. I almost glued in some five-letter words. I think that's why normal people go to bed and sleep at night.

this could be yours.

If I'm ever going to send you a letter and you have the luck that I'm in a good creative mood, you can expect something similar to that in the mail.

A letter I'm going to send to Hannah, my friend from school. The envelope on the front has the same pattern as the back (if you haven't noticed already).

If you really want me as a pan pal, just let me know. I also love to send picture postcards through the world. Whatever you want... ;)

like strangers on the street.

I live on this planet for almost two decades now. I don't know what the future brings. The future isn't always nice. It doesn't send you a message and tells you what's going to happen. The future is like strangers on the streets. Maybe they're great people, but they do not always smile.

Collage made by me.
Words taken from National Geographic articles. I love to put things out of context and create new things with a different meaning.

the earth is shining down the sky.

It's definitely fun to let people stare at strange things...

a collage I made the other day.

aggressive art.

I don't know how to call this. It's...something...
I didn't plan to do this. One day when I had one of my late night attacks of anger and panic,
I got the urge to destroy something. To keep me away from getting the idea to destroy expensive stuff I grabbed a random magazine and a scissor and stabbed the magazine.
I felt better after doing this and when I looked at the magazine I was surprised how great it looked. When you turn your head to your right it looks a bit like waves or mountains. And this thing at the top looks so much like a butterfly. I could never do something like that on purpose...

P.s.: I completely re-wrote my About Me page. Check it out.

correcting history with scissor and glue.

I don't always have 4-7 hours time to make big collages like the fashion collage which is made out of ~50 elements, but I also don't want to get out of "practice". That's why I decided to try to make collages out of just a few elements.
There is this amazing Tumblr blog that is such a great inspiration for me and they make amazing collages out of 2-3 pieces:
Love it!

And here's what I made yesterday:

You can see Copernicus' idea of heliocentrism in the background and a a group of men being all excited about the war in the front. I put these two things together to correct history a bit.
People being that excited about a war is not okay and it was wrong how they treated Copernicus, Galilei and all the others when they talked about heliocentrism and all the other amazing stuff they found out.
Now I put this together and got a group of people all happy and excited about the heliocentrism.
That's what Copernicus should have deserved...

My old history book had to bite the dust for that. Don't yell at me for destroying teaching material, I already did it myself...

And, why do I always like the scanned version of my collages better than the original? I don't know...they always look better after scanning. And a good thing about scanning is, that the collages get bigger. Here's a picture for you to imagine how small it is (click to enlarge)

Alarm...stop-motion

I'm in the middle of doing my Dutch homework. Something I do every Tuesday and Thursday night and by night I mean midnight. And as always I'm destracted by so many different things and I end up doing what I can do best: procrastinating.
And that's why I thoughts it's time to post a video. I worked on this video the whole day + last night.
Stop-motion is something fascinating for me and after making this video it's even more fascinating. It's so much fun but also so much work. It took me more than a day to do a 3:30 minutes video and it is far away from perfect. How long does it take to make a whole stop-motion movie? ...
I made this video for J.B.Dazen's song Alarm. I love this song and as I mentioned someday before, he's my second favorite YouTube musician (after Tom Milsom). I hope you like it.

One more thing. This video is finally public. All my other videos aren't listed on YouTube. This means more people can watch my videos now. I'm not sure yet what to think about that...but hey, I tweeted J.B.Dazen that I made a video for his song and now he asked me if I want to make some animated things for his actual upcoming music videos...now what to say about THAT? :)

A post about Italy is coming soon...
And I'll do the Q&A vlog next week.

Visual Army

I'm so happy that I'm creative again I really, really, really, really etc. hope that it stays like that forever. I had so much fun making this collage yesterday that I made another one today. And this time I filmed myself. 3 hours filming. But don't worry. This video here is speed up and only 4:24 min long.
I also put some background information at the end of the video. A bit about where the idea comes from and about the music I listened to.
I hope you like it :)

I got all the things for the collage from movie and fashion magazines. Except the flower and butterfly paper that goes around the collage. I bought that today at an awesome paper store. And they also had space paper...with planets and stars and such stuff on it. I bought it... :)

It's great that I have something I like doing. The only think I really loved doing recently was blogging :/ Now I have my collages and I hope to make many more.

Also no Tuesday outfit post (and no Tuesday post at all! Wow...I was super busy with my collage...). My room looked like that the whole day and it still looks like that...that's why I'm off tidying up my room (the not so fun part of being creative.)

Bye. :)

Ps: Don't forget to leave some questions for my Q&A. Submit them HERE.

You know, there are times when I'm creative.

You know, I love space. You know, I love America. You know, America has a lot to do with space. You know, I love collages.
That's why I made a Space-America collage. Enjoy, and don't steal it :) Thanks.

Made out of fashion and movie magazines. It took me about 3 hours to make this. I love making collages. It's so much fun.

it's tuesday, tuesday...gotta do a hop on tuesday!

Sorry, if this doesn't make a lot of sense to you.

A collage I made today. With a photo my friend Ines took in Denmark two years ago. Some pictures from movie magazines. And a quote form this song.

You better not expect a video tomorrow.
I don't want to whine and stuff, so just take it how it is.
Hope I can blog like a normal person again soon.
Sorry about that.

Also I'm not really reading any blogs at the moment.
I'll be back reading and commenting soon.
At least I hope so.

For some reason I like the scanned version of this collage better than the original...

New Old Hobby

As a person who writes a lot and has filled almost 20 journals I'm a tiny bit addicted to notebooks. Notebooks always makes me happy.
And I always loved books and ever since I can remember I wanted to know how to make my own notebooks. Bookbinding is such a fascinating thing to me and I would love to learn it one day.
When I was 14/15 years old I loved to make notebooks. I tried my best, glued paper together to pages and they really turned out pretty good (for someone who has no idea about bookbinding). I gave some of them away as presents for friends, but I still have some of them.
A few weeks ago I had this feeling, that I have to start again. I made some notebooks. They are completely different, not like actual bookbinding, but I love them.
And as some of you know, I love to work with books. So again, I ripped out some pages of this awesome book I found at the library's flea market and created those little books.

At the moment I have three of them, but I want to make more.

A red touch at the back ;)

What do you think?

Magazine Message

Inspired today...
Thanks to the cinema which is friendly enough to place free movie magazines all over the shopping mall I live (well, I don't live IN the mall, I live over the mall...same building though)

Not easy to find English headlines in Austria...
It took me ages to put this message together

I like how it turned out

oh, and I figured out how to take pictures with my webcam (second pic)

Good night!

PS: Don't forget to check out my giveaway.
PPS: Feel free to leave questions in the Formspring box.

It's too much fun!

Sorry for posting only random things.
I need some good ideas for my blog. I think there should be more sense in what I'm posting.

But I have to share today's art:

And I will announce the winner of my giveaway tomorrow! I'm so excited about it!

Have a nice last day of march.

First try and probably the last one

I don't really like photo editing and other creative things you can do with your computer. I always need something in my hands to be creative. But then I read about paperless digital drawing at Sydney's blog.
Check out her drawings: here and here and here
I thought, "Wow, amazing!"
A week ago I was bored and I remembered Sydney's posts. I decided to give it a try.

The first problem: I didn't know which program I should use. Finally I used GIMP.
The second problem: How does GIMP work? Honestly, I had no idea. I played around a bit to figure out what's possible.
The next step was to choose what I want to draw. I love birds, so I started to search a picture of an eagle at google.
Found one!
Here it is:

Then I started drawing. Here is the result!
Click at the picture to see the details!
It doesn't look like the original picture, but I think it's okay. And it was my first try...I'm suprised! ;)
But I think it was my first and last try. It was fun to do, but I prefer real paper and real paint.

And I have 31 followers! Wow!
I have to work on my blog button, but I have to take a photo for my button and for taking the photo I need sunshine and we don't have sunshine at the moment. The weather is awful!

And I'm working on my giveaway.
Just for information, I'll ship international. Everyone can enter. I hope, that I'll finish my giveaway soon, so that I can start it here on my blog!

Have a nice week!

Pencil cases

I love pencil cases and I love to make my own pencil cases.
Here are some pics of my selfmade ones:

The crocheted one:

It is a bit small and it got some holes so I can't use it anymore...

The knitted one:

I used this one a long time and I love it. It's soft and enough space for all my crayons, which are the most important things ;)

The paper one:
I don't use this one. I'm afraid to destroy it, because I used paper, but it looks cool ;)

The sewn one:

I made it yesterday and it turned out better than expected. You have to know, that I haven't used the sewing machine for two years...

Have a nice day!

Icosidodecahedron

I found something really cool on the internet. An instruction for an Origami Icosidodecahedron. I think it's harder to pronounce Icosidodecahedron than make a Icosidodecahedron ;)

It's so much fun to make them, so I did three in a row.

Oh, I love them!

If you want to make your own Icosidodecahedron follow this instruction:
LINK!!!

And watch this video:

That's how I learned it...
Have fun!
