windy things.

I had a pretty good day today. I went clothes shopping this morning. I went clothes shopping yesterday morning as well. I didn't buy any clothes today. I didn't buy any clothes yesterday. In other words: I'm the worst clothes shopper ever.
I bought some other things and spent the afternoon in Schönbrunn. I missed Schönbrunn so much. I haven't been there in ages (okay, June 2011) and fall is the best time for Schönbrunn. It's really calm and it's so pretty in the wood-part. So colorful. Also it's much more interesting to observe tourists and people when there aren't hundreds of them.

(1) I'm slightly obsessed with fashion magazines. I went to the biggest bookstore and discovered that they have Lula. omfg. I almost died when I saw that. And it was only €14,90. Yes, I know, sounds expensive. But that's cheap for an English fashion magazine, especially Lula. If you love fashion magazine and see a Lula somewhere, buy it! And if you live in the UK and love fashion, I don't understand why you do not already own every issue of Lula. No excuses accepted.
(2) Until a few weeks ago I kept saying that I hated rings. Well, this has changed a bit. I like them now. I bought the owl ring today. Love it. The only thing that's a bit annoying about rings, is that they are often that big. Or my fingers are super thin, I don't know. Anyway, I always buy the smallest size, but sometimes I'm almost losing them. btw, I only like rings like the ones in the pics. I don't like shiny jewelry, especially silver jewelry.
(3) Reason Number 346823064 why I don't want a typical wedding: wedding photoshoots.
(4) Cool job. I was surprised that they were three woman and one guy. Only positive.
(5) High isn't high enough. Also it's quite amusing how they're both leaning to the left. Haha.
(6) fall + Vienna = windy. I love it though.

I hope you had a wonderful day.

people of the city.

Alone and self confident on the way to a meet up.
Focused in a group but with seperate thoughts.
Battling against the weather like a rebel.
Fake citizens for a day impressed and overwhelmed.
Dancing for attention and money.

They are the people of the city.
They all have a different part.
Altogether acting in the same play.

All pictures taken in Vienna on different days through the year.

subway people. part 2.

Nobody can stop me from being creepy. It's way too much fun.

Love this style. And this girl could draw...wow. (took it on the train, not the subway)
Nothing better than a guy reading a book on the subway.
The age of this woman? Probably 75...dressed too young? nope, it looked fantastic on her.
Absolutely fantastic. I would never wear it, but this girl definitely knows how to dress.

P.s.: Is anybody wondering what happened to this "I post my daily outfits" thing? Well, I don't know what happened to that...that's how I rule. I always start doing things and never finish them. Sorry.

P.p.s.: If you find yourself in one of these pictures (who knows who finds my blog...) and don't want to be seen here, just tell me and I take the picture down.

(05.) subway people.

One thing that I love about being at Vienna is that I see so many people. People with a great taste in fashion. People from all over the world. People who scare you. People (guys) you wish you could stare at for the rest of the day (life) (*cough*)...I can't do that in our small hometown.
Every time I see someone interesting, especially people with an awesome taste in fashion, I would like to put out my camera and take a picture. I love the idea of streetstyle blogging and I would definitely do it if I had 1.the courage to ask strangers if I can take a picture of them 2.a better camera 3.better photography skills and 4.some people who would like to join me in doing this.
Today I couldn't resist and took some pictures at the subway. They didn't realise that I was taking pictures and I tried my best to get some good pictures without their faces in it. I would never put a picture of a stranger without their permission on the internet. But, you can't see their faces, so it kinda could be anybody...so it's okay ;)
All the pictures are a bit blurry. Thank my cell phone for that. :/

I loved the style of the left girl. and the pattern of the right girl's clothes...awesome.
Asian tourists for the win :P this light and blue something is a person passing...nice effect.
This girl wore a fantastic hat, which I can't share :( and people with a basket full of strawberries is a thing you see a lot at the moment.
and that's me :) what I wore today: pants: Forever21. top: Zara. bag: Springfield. food: McDonalds :P

Bye, bye. :)

Italy update: The weather forecast is getting better. Keep your fingers crossed, please. :)

walls. stones. sky.

After this flood of words yesterday (you are very welcome to read it.) I have the feeling that a flood of photos is more than necessary. After a rainy Saturday the weather is back to normal which means hot. Cold inside, hot outside. I never know how to dress because I live in an over 100 year old building with thick walls. And it's always either super warm or super cold in here. When I'm not sure what to wear I wait until some people walk down the street and look what they're wearing ;)
I tend to not doing what I planned and today wasn't an exception. I wanted to take some video footage (I have quite a lot ideas for videos but I always suck when it comes to filming) and buy some tops and t-shirts. I ended up running around the inner city like crazy. I love to do that. Vienna's first district is simply the best (and there aren't many people who live in Vienna and still love the first district).
I finally went up to the Albertina, this very fancy museum I wish I could live in or at least have a membership so I could go there every day...dreams...
Whatever. I'm rambling again...It was a lovely day :)

walls.
stones.
 sky.

I hope you had a great Monday :)

joy over screaming teenage girls and poop on my shoes

Happy Birthday to my blog. I love you and I can't believe that you're already two. :)
Due to a giant lack of creativity there's no fancy anniversary post (yesterday's post was more an anniversary post than this thing here...read it if you want).

As I said yesterday I like the blog anniversary better than my own birthday, that's why I spent the afternoon doing some fun stuff. I spent the morning trying to calm down and writing a mid-term exam. Yes, a mid-term exam. It's so unfair. I have my finals at the very end of June :(

Okay. What I did today: After writing the exam I rushed home, charged my camera, my phone and my mp3-player, because everything was almost dead and after killing one or two hours with tumblr, I got on the subway and went all the way to Shönbrunn. I haven't been there in a while. Turned out that at this time of the year there are a lot of 1.Asian people 2.other non-asian tourists 3.mothers with their babies 4.old people reading the newspaper or solving crossword puzzles 5.young couples making out. Um. Yeah. A place for everyone.

I kinda got bored. Maybe because of all the groups of people mentioned above or maybe it was the heat. I don't know. I thought I need a place where it is fun, which is more birthday-like. And what's better for such a thing than the Würstelprater, Vienna's amusement park. Yay!
Here are some pictures I took there:

I was surprised that there weren't many people. Okay. It's Wednesday. A school day.
I liked it there. Everything's so colorful. There are so many things to see. Music everywhere. People screaming at the top of their lungs. Fantastic.
I really enjoyed the screaming teenage girls (there were mostly teenage girls). And their faces before the crazy ride started. Priceless.
And no, I did not take a ride. I'm not crazy, okay? Honestly. When it comes to roller coasters and such things I'm the biggest coward ever. I would totally die on a roller coaster.
I prefer to stand there and look at the people who have fun and scream instead of me.

It was a fantastic afternoon. The only thing that wasn't that fun was the moment when I wondered why the ground is soft and it turned out that the soft ground was dog poop. I'm talented when it comes to getting my shoes into dog poop...sigh.

I hope you had fantastic day as well.
And I hope that my third blogger year will be as good as this one.
Or even better. :)

lost and yellow experiences

My fist day back to university was pretty much how I expected it. I didn't go. It's easy not to go to university and it's so wrong.
I got up around 8am and found out that Osama bin Laden might or might not has been killed yesterday or someday other by someone somehow and has been thrown into the sea immediately. Um...cough. Whatever.
I didn't want to stay at home the whole day. I took my bag, put in my cameras and ran outside into the sunshine to take some pictures. Well, I spent the first hour on the subway and at the post office. Going to the post office around lunch break time is a bad idea. At least Hank's birthday card is on the way.
After a speed tram ride (scary!) and a bit walking I reached the so called Strudlhofstiege. These stairs are amazing!

After taking the pictures I decided to stroll around a bit more and I got completely lost. I'm not familiar to the 9th district. Everything's pretty there, but I ended up somewhere and I wished to shout "Where am I?". I had no idea. It was the first time that I got lost in Vienna. I found my way back (I got on a bus and hoped to end up where I wanted). I have to say, getting lost is an interesting experience and I'm suprised that I didn't panic (okay. I had a map with me...which I didn't use...).
This day was full of experiences. Old and new ones. Getting lost was new, people staring at me because I wore yellow tights was old. I'll never understand why people like to stare at my legs when I'm wearing yellow tights (funny thing: only women are staring. Men don't care). I don't care. Yellow tights are the best. I love them.
Bye for now. I'm going to take a nap and then I'm going to eat dinner with my Dad. Free dinner at my favorite restaurant is awesome.

Note #01: I'll blog a lot in May. Just to warn you ;)

Ponies for everybody!

Some impressions of how Vienna looks like away from the beautiful old inner city. Or let's say how it looks in the area of the Danube. It's a completely different area and I want to explore it when the weather gets better.
The pictures you can see here were taken at the Reichsbrücke (Empire Bridge) which is (according to Wikipedia) the most famous bridge of Vienna. It goes across the Danube and the Donauinsel (Danube Island). You can click HERE to get to map to see where it is (hope it works...).
I want to explore Vienna a lot more this spring/summer. When I moved to Vienna last October I knew almost nothing. Everything was new and I was scared to get lost. It changed a lot. I feel like Vienna's getting smaller every day. There's still much more to see (for example the area I live...I have no idea what's around the building I live in...ugly buildings...that's all I know ;) ).

Pictures taken with Lomography Lomolitos. All the pictures are scanned.

PS: I thought the note Ponies for everybody is hilarious. It made my day.

fallen chocolate

I haven't been around Blogger the last week. I'm back now and I hope to get back into everything as fast as possible.
The last weeks weren't easy for me. I don't want to say much about it here. Short version: I was a bit depressed last week and on friday my grandad passed away and all these things were too much for me.
(btw, if you want to know what's going on in my life you can stalk me at twitter...you don't need a twitter profile for stalking ;) )

To start again with blogging after this week I thought to post some pictures. I will post some more the next days.
Here are some I took on a walk through Vienna when I desperatly tried to find a certain place and couldn't find it. (more about that later...when I found the place. I want to give the whole thing another try tomorrow...)

I took all the pictures with a lomography Lomolitos camera. So all these pictures are scanned. Also all the pictures are taken in the first district (inner city) of Vienna.

  love love love it.

Bye for now. I hope you are doing better than I do :)

Video Wednesday - Schönbrunn cuteness

Note #01: I overused the word cute.

Note #02: If you think I sound exhausted in the video, that's because I was exhausted. I get easily exhausted, because I don't do any sports.

Note #03: The previous squirrel attack: Here.

Note #04: My camera is crap. I charged the camera before I went to Schönbrunn and it was almost dead when I went home (after filming for less than 20 min). I also lost quite a lot of footage. My camera stops recording when you shake it (just a little bit) or move it too fast...

Note #05: Schönbrunn is much more prettier in spring/summer/autumn. It looks a bit boring when everything's brown.

Note #06: Look at the tree behind me at like 3:04 - squirrel! (there are so many of them - they are cute and evil)

Note #07: Maybe it's just me, but when I watch this videos there are parts where I just think "Oh look how arrogant I am." (I'm not...)

Note #08: Next week: Q&A. Leave questions HERE.

Location: Schönbrunn Palace - Vienna. You all know that I love this place...

I'll never tell them. You're an exception.

I want to fly away...
...and don't leave anybody behind.
I want to love...
...and never see my name in a tree.
I want one to show me the right direction...
...and go my own way.
I want...
...and I don't.

Location: The park around Schönbrunn Palace. The best place of Vienna.

Note #01: Second best place is the Central Cemetery.

Note #02: People never get it, that those are the best places, but they are, they just don't see it.

Note #03: I'll never tell them.  The less people know it the better it is.

Dreamer

I love it to see kids with balloons.
But I love it even more to see a man with a balloon.
I like it when people don't hide the child inside.

Picture taken in October 2010. Vienna.
(actually I followed this guy and almost run to get close enough to get a picture...hard work...sorry, it's a bit blurry)
(the girl just happened to be in the picture...great coincidence)

My Day In Pictures

Happy Valentine's Day!
I'm not a friend of this whole Valentine's thing. So it was quite perfect, that I had to go to Vienna to get some things done at university.
To make it less boring I decided to do a "My Day In Pictures" post, inspired by Rebecca's A Picture An Hour posts.

All the pictures are not edited. Two reason: 1. I'm way too lazy and tired ;) and 2. the colors are exactely how the day was. GRAY!

8:00 AM - On the train. Hour One.
9:00 AM - On the train. Hour Two.
10:00 AM - In my room. Journals, Cupcakes, John Green, DVDs. Delicious.
 11:00 AM - University
 12:00 PM - Lunch!
1:00 PM - Walked around and found this place by accident.
2:00 PM - Flowers everywhere! Love it!
3:00 PM - Went to my favorite bookstore and left some notes in John Green's books.
4:00 PM - Back in my room. Snack and reading.
5:00 PM - On the train again. On the way home. And some more reading.
After that I fell asleep...sadly I didn't take a picture while I was sleeping :P

I hope you had a wonderful day! :)
