Ponies for everybody!

Some impressions of how Vienna looks like away from the beautiful old inner city. Or let's say how it looks in the area of the Danube. It's a completely different area and I want to explore it when the weather gets better.
The pictures you can see here were taken at the Reichsbrücke (Empire Bridge) which is (according to Wikipedia) the most famous bridge of Vienna. It goes across the Danube and the Donauinsel (Danube Island). You can click HERE to get to map to see where it is (hope it works...).
I want to explore Vienna a lot more this spring/summer. When I moved to Vienna last October I knew almost nothing. Everything was new and I was scared to get lost. It changed a lot. I feel like Vienna's getting smaller every day. There's still much more to see (for example the area I live...I have no idea what's around the building I live in...ugly buildings...that's all I know ;) ).

Pictures taken with Lomography Lomolitos. All the pictures are scanned.

PS: I thought the note Ponies for everybody is hilarious. It made my day.

  1. Gorgeous pictures! Film cameras make even ugly things look so dreamy... And Ponies Fur Alle {I don't have German letters on this keyboard} is my new motto.

  3. I'll take a pony! :) I love the photos. I like what scanning adds to them, I don't know what it is but it's something... :) I want to live in a city worth exploring some day. Right now I live in a smallish town and there's nothing to see here, save a park. Boring, haha! ;)

  5. Libby: Yes, that's true. Also the scanning makes them look so dreamy. And yay! Ponys für alle! :D Good motto ;)

    Shaynie: Thanks, Shaynie! :)

Hope: Haha, I would take one too :) I like how photos look after scanning too. The original photos look great, but they look even better when they are scanned. As Libby said, they look dreamy.
I think you can explore every city/town. I know big cities are much more exciting, because you find new stuff all the time, but don't underestimate small towns. For example in my hometown. I know pretty much everything here, but I love it how it is even though it's more or less the same every time I went outside. If you spend a lot of time with the town you live in (which sounds strange ;) ) you know every detail after a while and that can be beautiful as well.
So maybe you should work on your relationship with your town ;)

Elizabeth: Thanks. We all want ponies. :)
