an anniversary post because TOMORROW is my blog anniversary.

Tomorrow is the 2nd anniversary of my blog. Yay! I love blog anniversaries. I like them more than my own birthday...um...no comment...
I still don't have a lot of ideas for my blog's little birthday. There will be a giveaway most likely someday pretty soon. I have an idea for that, but I'm not sure how it'll turn out and first I have to make it. Means a lot of thinking and crafting over the weekend (which starts tomorrow afternoon...do I ALWAYS have to point out that my weekends start wednesday afternoon? Apparently, yes).

This is a pre-anniversary post. I don't have anything better to do, except going to university...where I should be right now...but who cares about university? That's why I'm sitting in bed with my pj pants on (it's 4 pm) listening to Tom Milsom. I just downloaded some more of his music, which he gives away for free (or you can pay if you want) and every time I download something I feel bad for not paying. But one day when I earn my own money I'll download some of his music again, just to give him money. I really want to do that :)

The last year was amazing. Internet-wise. My real life is nothing else than a mess. So many things happened. My first blogger year was good as well, but I feel like the second year was much better. I got closer to my followers and I feel at home when I open Blogger.
I'm also much more me now. I've always been me, but it was hard for me during the first year to be 100% me without trying hard to be perfect. I'm not perfect.
I also met some awesome people. I totally count Shaynie and Hope to my best friends now. Thank you! :)

I entered the world of Twitter, which was one of the best things I've ever done. I refused another year to join Facebook, which is also one of the best things I'm doing...avoiding Facebook.
And finally today at 5:30 am (or something like that) I joined Tumblr. Which was also a long way. I always thought Tumblr is great, but I never wanted to join it. Recently I followed a bunch of Tumblr blogs wihout having a Tumblr, which turned out to be hard. Imagine following 10-15 blogs wihout having them in your Reader or on your Dashboard.
That's why I joined Tumblr. My Tumblr ist called "scraps of old volumes, wire and glue". Check it out and feel free to follow (and you are also welcome to do this crazy thing where you follow it without having Tumblr, which I have to warn you will turn into you making a Tumblr).

My Tumblr titles comes from one of my favorite songs ever. The Worm in the Apple - Ezra Furman and the Harpoons.
Titles...hm...I like the title for my Tumblr and I'm okay with my blog title. It could have been worse. I chose this name two years ago, when I had no idea how to name things and my English wasn't the best back then.
Another good thing. My English is much better now. When I started two years ago I could have never written such a long post. The internet is the best way to learn English.

Now, this was a lot of rambling. Before I go and try to find something to eat (haven't eaten anything yet...only some chocolate) enjoy this little video. I put together a video with all the pictures I took with my webcam since December 2010. I love to play around with my webcam.

An introduction to my picture wall

I made a new collage for my magazine picture wall today and I thought it would be fun to show you my wall. I made a short video. Enjoy!

Note #01: I pronounce France like people in France pronounce France (nice sentence, huh?). I didn't know how it is pronounced in English, so I pronounced it in French.

Note #02: I hope I didn't mispronounce anything else.


Note #03: Snip cards are small cards you can get at restaurants. Sometimes it's just an advertisement for something, sometimes you can win something or sometimes you get a free ticket for a museum etc. Such things. I have 52 of them on my wall...

Note #04: 99% of the cards in the beginning are free cards. I got them at restaurants and the mall. I love free cards :)

Note #05: As I said in the video I always get free movie magazines. I never go to the cinema, but I live next to one, that's why I can get them easily. Actually I get them at the mall...oh my...the building I live in is not easy to explain...

Note #06: I don't know why I told you where I took all the pictures...I just did it...random.

Note #07: The song in the background is "Not Just Yet" by Alex Day. It was on repeat today...love it!

What's in my purse? - The video version

Hi! Lovely Natalie tagged me with this amazing tag. The idea is to show you what's in my purse. I love this idea!
I tried to upload the pictures earlier this evening, but the new blogger pictures uploading thing didn't let me do what I wanted to do. I uploaded some of the pictures, but Blogger hates my wallet! ;) I tried to upload a pictures of my wallet five times!!! Annoying!
So I decided that I do a video version of this tag and upload the picture version tomorrow (if Blogger likes my wallet tomorrow).
I know you won't understand much (or anything?), because I talk German in this video. (Shaynie, you know, that's for your ;)
But you know what I'm talking about. I just showed you the stuffed in my bag and explained it to you. The pause after the tripod (where I stared into my bag and then put out my mp3-player) is because I was listened to what my roommate next door was doing. I heard some weird noises...

Squirrel attack

I spent two days in Vienna, but now I'm back. More about my two days at the weeken, but here's something I want to share right now.
Something like that has never happened before. I've been attacked by a squirrel...but it was cute :)

I'd love to share a video with you, but...

Today I went for a walk and took my camera and my cell phone with me. I wanted to try the camera of my new cell phone and I ended up taking pictures ONLY with my phone. And I made some videos. At home I wanted to edit those videos and well, it's impossible. First I realised that all the videos were 3gp-files (never heard of 3gp before). I googled 3gp and found out that I have to convert them into avi or mp3 or something else if I want to edit them. I downloaded a free converter and converted the videos into avi. I tried to add the new avi-files to the editing program, but it didn't work. Obviously the converting program doesn't work well. After some time, after trying different editing programs and searching on the internet for a solution, I gave it up.
It's pity, because the weather was perfect for doing some videos and I really wanted to share them with you. But now all the videos are useless :(
Maybe I'm going to do the same thing with my real camera again...

Paper-Clothes-Tree Sunday Art Project

Hi,
I'm back from Denmark. The writing camp was great and Denmark is a beautiful country.
Today, I thought about what I should post on my blog. First I thought about pictures of our Sunday walk or Denmark, but I'm not sure if you are interested in it (if you are, tell me, please...)
Then I thought about art.
Art is always a good thing and I hope you like it.
And this is also the first time I tried video editing (I think you don't want to see the original video - 20 minutes are too long...)

I called it Sunday Tree, because it's Sunday today and I created a tree.

A few days ago I was a bit bored. No, not really...
Let's say, I tried to be creative.
The result wasn't really creative, but it was great fun!

one of my favourite pieces

A piano piece again.
First I want to say, that I've finished my composition and I'll upload it soon.
This one is one of my favourite pieces. It's called "Song of India" composed by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov.
I took this video after not practicing this piece for some month, so it's full of mistakes (especially in the middle). But I'm not really good in playing a piece without any mistakes, so it doesn't matter if there some more mistakes... ;) So please do not care about the terrible mistakes in the middle of the piece...
