There is no end...

Some snow pictures again. I really like all the snow, but it's a bit boring to take photos, because they always look the same. Everything white, but beautiful.
Yesterday I decided to take some photos in town and not as usual somewhere outside in the nature.
And just for information: We now have more snow than in the pictures. It snows since yesterday evening and it goes on and on...

Christmas

This year there were two new things at christmas.

1. The first time ever that there was a thunderstorm at christmas! Awful weather and no signs of white christmas...

2. The first time that Thomas (one of my brothers) and I helped to put up the christmas tree.
Yes, it really was the first time. Putting up the christmas tree was always Mum and Dad's work and we children weren't allowed to see the tree until christmas eve. It was a nice tradition, because sometimes we were more excited to see the christmas tree than seeing our presents - that's good, because I think presents are not that important at christmas.
This year we decided, that we are all old enough to decorate the christmas tree and that it is a bit ridiculous to "hide" the tree...
Like it is common in Austria (and some other European countries) we decorated the tree on 23rd December. We had lot of fun, because we were listening to christmas music and danced around the tree and such things... ;)

All the wonderful snow is melting!
We still have some, but it's way to warm for snow. Yesterday morning we had -15°C and today we had 5°C in the morning! It's 20°C warmer than yesterday...
It's really sad.

White, white and a language shock

That's the result of "I want to draw a picture with a white crayon!"

And I'm shocked after searching a translation for the word "Buntstift" at google translations.
The English word for Buntstift is buntstift?
I'm totally confused and don't know if it is true.
That's weird because it's a German word, but there are so many German words in the English language...like Kindergarten, Doppelgänger, ersatz, Rucksack etc etc etc...

But, do you really call a crayon a buntstift???

snow and icicles

This week is/was totally stressfull. I'm really looking forward to the christmas holidays (which will be stressfull too, but not that stressfull...)
Outside there's snow. This year I like snow, don't know why. Generally I don't like snow very much, only for skiing (skiing is so much fun!), but this year I totally freaked out when there was the first snow.
But one thing I like every year are icicles. They are so beautiful!

And of course, there is snow :)

I hope, that there is snow at christmas...
