Three Questions on Friday



  History

I want to learn a bit more about history this year. I don't know much about history, so I have no idea where to start.
Question: What would you suggest? Which country should I choose? Or a war? What's your favourite part of history?


  Books

I haven't read much last year and lost interesting in reading. But I want to change that and decided that the best way to get back into reading is YA fiction.
Question: Any suggestions? What are your 3-5 favourite YA fiction books?


  Movies

One of my goals in 2011 is to improve my language skills. That's why I'm looking for French movies.
Question: Do you know any good French movies?

    Yay for history! I love history. I love reading about European countries like France and England and of course I love reading about the Americas as well. I guess I'm sort of a "ground up" reader. Tell me everything about the country and I am in heaven. haha!

    I'm not really big on YA fiction. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I don't know what to read exactly...

    Some of my favorite YA books are:
    The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks by E. Lockhart (realistic fiction)
    Feed by MT Anderson (dystopian)
    The Monstrumologist by Richard Yancey (historical fantasy)
    The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (fairy tale retelling)
    The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (dystopian)

    And have you see L'auberge espagnole? It's one of my favorite french movies.

    History--Learn about Russia--it is FASCINATING!!!

    Hope: I'm interested in England and America. Maybe I can find some good books about it. And France is interesting as well...hm...

    Shaynie: Russia is great. I don't know a lot about the history, but I love the language and the country and everything ;)
