featuring today: cute owl I crafted at the hospital
Hello dear friends. I don't know where I'm going with this, but it's probably my return to the world of Blogger. I miss it sort of kinda somehow, so let's try it and see what it brings.
I disappeared from Blogger at the end of November. I wasn't in the mood of blogging anymore. To be honest, I wasn't in the mood of anything at all.
So much happened since then. Too much to put all of it in this post. I don't know what you want to know, I don't know who's going to read this, I don't know what I'm going to tell you in my next posts.
Anyway. To give you a bit information about what happened/changed, here's a list. And these things are also the things I'm going to talk about the most in the future. Just so you know.
- I spent 9 weeks at the psychiatric hospital. Diagnosed with depression and social anxiety. The first weeks were like the best time of my life, then all the awesome people left and I cried a lot and was down again for a week. Then they gave me some more pills and I started to burst out in laugther for no reason. Then it got better again, but I couldn't stand the hospital anymore. I wanted to leave. I told them that I want to leave. And then I left.
- I'm doing a lot better now. But I'm still recovering. Something like depression and anxiety that grows over years doesn't pop like a bubble all of a sudden just because you take some happy pills. It's still a long journey, but I'm on the right way.
- I moved from Vienna to Graz. I love Vienna, but at my current situation it's too big and everything reminds me of bad days. So I left all the pooping pigeons behind and moved to the lovely city Graz where I can hear a woodpecker every morning instead of love making pigeons.
- Moving also means a new apartment and a new room mate. No more home for students with four friendly but strange room mates and a dark kitchen without a window. I share a bright apartment with an amazing girl called Laura, who loves tea and movies and has British parents and a British passport which makes here about 100% more awesome than she already is.
- Also as a result of moving to another city means that I'm no longer studying at the University of Vienna, although officially I am still studying there because of medical insurance reasons, but noone has to know that I'm actually not studying there at all. I'm not going back to university. Not in Vienna and not in Graz. At least not in the near future. I'm going to try to find a job which is the biggest problem at the moment. But let's not talk about problems right now, I've done that way too much in the past.
- Last thing. I'm currently in a relationship. Awesome, I know, right? Apparently I had to end up in hospital to find a guy. I don't know what to tell you about him. His name is Peter, he's 33, he loves salad and potato chips, he has an amazing(ly) (dirty) sense of humor and he doesn't like to watch movies in English. Any questions?
I think I just leave it like that. I'll talk to you soon.
Bye.
I am so happy that you're so much happier now! I used to be turned off by psychiatrists but honestly I've heard so many things about how much going to one helps that I'm convinced one of these days I may want to go see one when I can. Your new apartment and roommate both sound fantastic, and very cheerful!
ReplyDeleteAs far as Peter goes, not gonna lie.. I'm a wee bit jealous haha but so happy you've got someone that sounds as amazing as he does. c: <3
Antoniaaa! Nice to have you back! :D
ReplyDeleteHave you seen The Hunger Games movie? It's awesome. ;)
(RiaRamona - I changed my username. :D )
Hey! It's great hearing from you! How are you doing? :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen The Hunger Games yet. Don't know when I'm going to see it, but I sure will one day ;)
Like you, I'm doing better. I'm going to university this June - crossing my fingers - if I finish all the requirements... Game face on.
ReplyDeleteI'll start blogging when I head to uni, and I wouldn't have to be such a one- sided Blogger, just commenting and not blogging. Hehe.
I liked the movie very much. The costumes (of the eccentric Capitol people), the background music, the portrayals of the characters --- the book really comes alive and offers so much more. See it! :D
