If you don't know what it is about, here is the trailer:
The first 15-20 minutes were really boring, but then the girls appeared more often and also the Minions and it got better and better. This movie is sooo super adorable.
I think I don't have to say much about how cute the Minions are. I'd like to play with them all day long.
And the girls were adorable. I really liked their names. Margo, Edith and Agnes. Awesome.
"It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!"
"IT'S SO FLUFFY!"
I'd love to have this fluffy unicorn. :) Another cute Agnes quote (Agnes is the best):
Agnes (about Gru): I like him. He's nice.
Edith: He's scary.
Agnes: Like Santa.
Haha. :D
I liked Gru as well. First I didn't like his accent, but after a while it was okay and I liked him. And thanks, Gru, for this sentence: "This is literature? A 2-year-old could have written this." Yup, that's how I feel sometimes when I read a bad book.
The character I couldn't stand was this professor/scientist guy. He was annoying.
The story wasn't anything special, nothing deep or heavy. It was cute and funny. Of course, there were those typical cartoon/comic jokes that were supposed to be funny and I can't stand this typical, stupid jokes, but I can live with that.
Oh, and there was something that I found really interesting and good. In older cartoons weapons and special vehicles always had a tons of buttons and that was really cool and they pushed buttons all the time. In Despicable Me there weren't buttons, everything had touch screens and such stuff. I think it's good that they keep up with the time.
If you haven't seen this movie, what are you waiting for? Watch it!

Aw, I loved Despicable Me too. :) I watched it with all of my sisters (except Ava) and so for about a week we all kept quoting it and getting weird looks from Mama since she had no clue what we were talking about, haha! Em and El still talk about and quote it today. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this yet. I guess I'm not so gaga about Dreamworks animated flicks as I am about Disney- Pixar productions.
ReplyDeleteI've seen clips of the movie, though, particularly the "It's- so- cute- I'm- gonna- die" one. Ever since, I've been using that in everyday talks, like
"The Social Network is sooo good I'm gonna die."
or
"Andrew Garfield is so good- looking I'm gonna die."
Heh. Ignore the last one. Haha.
Cool observation about the animated features getting on with the times and technology! I think it's also notable how totally different futuristic movies are from reality, Bicentennial Man which was a 1999 movie was set in, I think, 2004. And the technology on the movie was so different from what we actually had in 2004. :P Haha.
I wanna see this movie so bad!
ReplyDeleteI love despicable me!!
