Project for Awesome

Today's the day of Project for Awesome. What's the Project for Awesome?
In one sentence: Project for Awesome is when people on YouTube post videos about charities.

It's an annual project on YouTube found by the Vlogbrothers John and Green Hank. I think it is an awesome thing (of course it is, there is the word "awesome" in the project's name :P), because people are doing something GOOD on YouTube (I'm sure everybody knows how much rubbish you can find on YouTube) and you can learn about great charities.

I know, many of you are not that into YouTube like I am and I can't force you to head over to YouTube and watch videos about charities all day (that's what I'm going to do ;) ), but I want to share some of the videos with you. Please take a few minutes and watch these videos. Maybe I'll post some more later. The project started a few hours ago and there are new videos coming every other minute.

Even though you don't have much money to donate for charity it is important to watch these videos and learn more about organisations out there. It is important to know. Maybe one day you have enough money and you'll come back to the charities and help them. It could also happen, that you'll be thankful for those charities one day, because they helped YOU or one of your family members or friends. There are so many reasons why we should care about charities.

The first video I want to share with you is about a charity called Triangles of Truth. It's a charity that helps victims of genocides and honors victims of the Holocaust.
You can check out there website HERE
And PLEASE watch this video!

The second video is about Cancer Research. I'm quite sure that almost everybody knows somebody who has cancer, had cancer or even died of cancer.
This video is so good! You have to watch it...

Thanks to everybody who read this post and watched the videos.
Feel free to head over to Youtube and check out some more videos about charities. Type in "Project for Awesome 2010" or "p4a 2010" and you'll find more videos.

  1. Wow, that is super cool! I love stuff like that, people helping other people. I can't watch the videos now, because my internet is acting weird. *sigh* but I will watch them when it gets back to normal.
