Q&A. The Answers! Finally.

Do you remember when I asked you two months ago to ask me some questions for a Q&A vlog? Well, I finally got around to answer these questions. But not in a vlog. Sorry, about that. I'm currently not in the mood of filming and editing and talking in front of a camera. That's the reason why I didn't answer them earlier.

But, I want to answer your question. My solution? Silly me interviewed myself.

It has been a while since you last answered questions.
You know, I always pretend that I have lots of things to do. I’m busy all the time lying in bed scrolling through Tumblr.
I’m glad you found some time to finally answer your followers’ questions.

Okay. Samantha wants to know. What are some books you plan on reading soon?
There are tons of books I’d like to read. I would read them, but I can’t read at the moment. I always read like two pages and then I can’t remember what I just read and can’t concentrate anymore. But there are so many books I’d like to read. I’d like to try the Diskworld novels by Terry Prachett, some Austen and Shakespeare, I would like to give the Hunger Games another try, more Kurt Vonnegut, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier... Just to name a few. I’d also like to re-read some books. Like Dracula by Bram Stoker, the entire Harry Potter series, the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke, The Princess Bride…I could go on forever and ever and ever…oh, that reminds me of something…I’d love to read Shining by Steven King.
Now that’s a lot. I hope you get your concentration back soon. Samantha has a second question for you. If you could be in ANY Tim Burton movie, which one would you be in? She also added that she bets she knows the answer.

Well, I think that too. Is it correct?
Yes and no. Yes, because it’s definitely one of my favorite movies of all time and it would be fun to be part of it. But I think I would prefer to be in a movie with real people and not just be a puppet. So I’d choose Ed Wood or Big Fish. I think it would be fun to be part of Ed Wood’s crazy cast and Big Fish…hm…the world in Big Fish is so magical. I like that.
Sounds great. My next question comes from Shaynie. I like that question. What made you get a Tumblr?
This is indeed a good question. I always thought of Tumblr as something I don’t need. I was so wrong. I also thought that about Twitter…but that’s a different story. Before I got Tumblr I followed some Tumblr blogs by checking them every day and see if there’s something new. It was a hard job because there were like 10 blogs I checked every day without having them in my google reader or anywhere else where I just had to scroll through the new posts. That’s one reason why I got Tumblr. What me made to get a Tumblr in the end was boredom. I couldn’t sleep one night and was still awake around 4 or 5 in the morning and what else to do at such an unholy hour than creating a Tumblr account. I love it. My Tumblr blog is my inspiration board and collection of stuff I love. I think it will be interesting for me to look at the early stuff on my Tumblr in one, two or three years and smile and laugh about the stuff I liked back then. A bit like a journal just with pictures.
So you think you’re going to laugh about all the Cole Mohr pictures you reblog all the time.

Shaynie also wants to know how much money you usally spend on clothes in a month.
This depends on how much clothes I need. I spent quite a lot of money in June because I needed some new clothes for the summer. Some of my clothes from last year didn’t fit anymore or were washed out or had holes and things like that. That’s why I bought quite a lot last month. I didn’t spend any money on clothes in July. So far. And I’m not planning on spending any money on clothes this month.
The last question automatically leads to the question whether you like to shop?
What a question. Yes, I do. I like it. A lot. Which doesn’t mean that I always buy something when I go shopping.
Now, how about a deeper question asked by Hope?
Oh dear…
If you could be anybody for a day who would you be? Are you kidding?
Nope. Sorry. She wants to know that. Okay. Let’s try to answer this. I can think of two answers. If I could be anybody for a day I would like to be myself at the age of 30 or 35 with a house, a husband and two kids. Exactly this situation. That’s not exactly the situation I’d like to have when I’m at that age, but I’d like to be in this situation for a day to see how I can deal with it. It would help me a lot to know that.
And what’s the other answer?
To be someone from this fictional world in my head I created for stories I write from time to time. I’d either be Luna, who’s awesome or Sara, who has one amazing boyfriend. Haha.
Can you also think of someone real?
No. I don’t want to be someone else.
What’s your favorite midnight snack?
Nutella or other stuff that contains chocolate. I also like to mix together different juices and add cocoa and cookie crumbs and sugar and water and whatever I can find. It looks disgusting, tastes amazing and makes you high on sugar. I love that.
What’s your favorite word?
I don’t have one at the moment. But do you know that when you think about a word and you think about it and think about it and suddenly you think how weird and funny this word is.
Oh yes, I know that.
This happens a lot to me. Yesterday the German word “Wild” was weird. Such a strange word.
Talking about weird things. Two weird questions from Natalie. Can you get Chinese take-out where you live? And if you can what do you like to get?
Haha. I don’t know if you can get Chinese take-out here in my hometown. You can get it in Vienna, but here…hm…I don’t know. I think we have two Chinese restaurants in my hometown but I’ve never been there. I’ve never been to a Chinese restaurant and I don’t know anything about Chinese food. I don’t know what I would like to get there.

What’s your one wardrobe must-have?
That’s hard. My must-have at the moment are H&M or Forever21 sneakers. You know, these shoes you get for 6-10 euros and fall apart after two or three months. Best shoes ever. I currently have three pairs of them.

Okay, okay. Who inspires you?
Who? Um…a person? I don’t know. John Green, Hank Green, Cole Mohr, Yuri Pleskun. I get much more inspired by stuff. Like movies, fashion magazines, old magazines, Tumblr. Tumblr is my biggest source of inspiration. Like I said before, it’s my inspiration board.
How do you like your coffee or tea?
I only like herbal tea or fruit infusions. I don’t like traditional black tea. I can’t drink a single cup of black tea. It just doesn’t work. But I love herbal tea and such things. And coffee? I don’t drink much coffee. I love the smell of coffee but I don’t like the taste that much. When I was too young to drink coffee my mom always predicted that I’m going to love coffee when I’m old enough because I loved to smell coffee and coffee powder, but she was wrong. I still LOVE the smell of coffee powder, but I don’t like coffee. When I drink coffee I drink it black. Without milk or sugar. And when I’m at a café I usually order a Cappuccino with whipping crème.
How can you not like coffee?

But how do stay awake or get awake without coffee?
It’s possible. If you’re not used to only getting or staying awake with coffee you can do it without it. Also coffee doesn’t make me more awake. I can drink coffee at 11 pm and fall asleep an hour later. No problem for me. I don’t believe it when people say that they have to drink two cups of coffee in the morning because they wouldn’t survive the day without it. It’s just a good excuse to drink another cup.
I’m not sure if that’s true.
Me neither. But I don’t believe that they won’t survive the day without coffee.
Whatever. Four more questions. All of them from RiaRamona. Why is your URL “yellowgreencolourful”?
When I created my blog I had no idea what I was doing. For some reason I believed that the URL is always something completely random and has nothing to do with your blog. I think I believed that because all the blogs I knew back then had random URLs. I don’t know why I’ve been that stupid and did that as well. I chose yellowgreencolourful, because I like yellow and I like green and I like colourful things. The end. I could change my URL, but changing your URL on Blogger is always complicated and it happens that your blog suddenly doesn’t show up in your followers’ reader or dashboard and then they have to follow you again. It’s blah. I don’t like to go through this. The funny thing about my URL is that it says colourful. I don’t use British English anymore.
Why not? Why did you change to American English?
I started with British English because that’s what I learned at school. My English teacher kinda disliked everything related with the United States. She never said that but it was pretty obvious. And I liked British English better back then. But most of the blogs I read are from people in the US and most of the other things I read and also YouTube vlogs are mostly by American people. I got confused. That’s why I switched to American English. It’s easier for me.
What’s the most exciting activity you’re done?
I usually don’t do exciting things. I’m a coward.
