I spent half of my Wednesday in a hospital bed because of the whole colonoscopy thing. It turned out that I have colitis. I'm glad that it's "just" colitis. It could have been much worse. But I have to stick to a special diet now and take a bunch of pills. To be exact, I have to take 10, yes TEN!, pills EVERY DAY for the next week. argh! After that I have to take "only" three a day for the next six months :/
But I'm glad that they could tell me what's wrong with me and that I can concentrate on my boring life again. Haha.
Anyway, back to my room...
That's my wall. Most of these small pictures on the wall are space-related...you know...I like space. And I put down my flag of Great Britain. I had it up for a year and I got quite emotional when I replaced it with the USA. I love how it looks like now, but I miss GB :'(
(yes, I'm weird)
I moved around my DFTBA letters, which my mom noticed. Funny fact, she noticed that I moved "the letters" but she never asked what the mean.
Origami cranes and painted nectarine pits (yes, I'm creative...)
A camera I purchased at a flea market and hardly ever use. I have to get out more and take more pictures. And I found these yellow little jars at my grandpa's house. They are pretty old. That's what you got 40 (or more?) years ago when you went to buy films for your camera...I love them!
In the background a metal box I bought on at a flea market as well and my pattern sheet I pinned on pin board.
Puppets!
I made the knitted ones myself. The fourth is from my German friend Kathi :)
Not really decoration. I just wanted to show you how I often bookmark my books. I either do it that way or don't bookmark what I'm reading at all. I don't like bookmarks. I always remember where I stopped reading, even if I haven't picked up the book in three months. Am I the only one who does that?
worry dolls. I like how the shaddow in the middle looks like a cross...
and my 80s collage (sorry for the blurry pic). I'd also like to have a 90s collage, but I only own magazines from the 80s. I think it's time for a trip to Vienna to go on a magazine hunt at the thrift store...yes, definitely.
That's my room. I've only decorated this wall so far. I don't really know what to do with my other wall. I'm not sure yet. Hm...
Bye. :)
I'm glad to hear that its not too serious! I mean it is but not TOO bad :)
ReplyDeleteI love your bookmark idea! so fun ;)
~Samarah
It looks great!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI love your room! I feel inspired to fix my own. :))
ReplyDeleteWhat does DFTBA stand for? :D
I love your room too much! It's so eclectic, so you! I'm totally making me some DFTBA letters like yours. And those puppets, gah, they are so cool! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're room is sooooo cool! :D I love it! And I'm so happy it's nothing serious and you're okay. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to get a look at how other girls decorate their room =) And I love how you've used things you've made yourself =D
ReplyDeleteSamarah: Yes, I'm glad that it isn't TOO bad. ;)
ReplyDeleteSamantha: Thanks :)
RiaRamona: DFTBA = Don't Forget To Be Awesome. It's something you should always remember. It comes from the Vlogbrothers (YouTube-Channel) John and Hank Green and is one of the most important things to keep in mind as a Nerdfighter :)
And I'm happy to hear that this post inspires you to fix your own room. Go ahead, be creative!
Hope: Hehe, thanks. :) I'm thinking about making some more Nerdfighter related stuff...the ideas are not here yet :/
Shaynie: Thanks. I'm happy too. It's not fun to deal with colitis, but it could have been so much worse.
Natalie: Thanks. I always prefer stuff I made myself, found somewhere or was a gift from someone. Going out and BUY decoration is such a strange thing to do for me. I'd never even get the idea to do that.
