I planned to write about 2010 this week. I planned to post something everyday, but it turned out like every time I plan something. I completly failed. Christmas break is just too wonderful to do anything.
But here I am now. Wednesday. Midnight. Best blogging time ever. I love to blog at midnight, I always feel inspired.
I decided to start with the list of things to reach in 2010.
I really liked it to have a list with things to reach in 2010 and I'm totally going to do a 2011 list. I'll continue doing some of the things I already had on the list and I'll some new ones.
So how did 2010 go?
Here are the results of my list:
read 100 books: I reached 26 books. 26! I can't remember the last time I read only 26 books. Maybe in the first year after learning how to read. I always read tons of book, but unfortunatly I lost interest in reading last year. I would love to read again, but it's not that easy. I still love books and stories and everything about books. I just don't want to read them at the moment.
Oh, by the way, I'm studying Comparative Literature...um...yeah...
watch 100 movies - I reached 98, but I'm going to finish it. You know, there are two days left. Enough time to watch at least two movies. I'm watching "Remember me" right now or lets say I rewatch it. I watched it two hours ago and it was so good that I had to watch it again. If you can stand some bad language, some kissing, a love scene and Robert Pattinson (:P) go watch "Remember me".
I still don't know exactly how to share those 100 movies with you. I tried to put them into categories and post rankings over at my movie blog, but it feels like it isn't the right way to share them. There are too many movies. I mean 100 movies is a lot.
Does anybody has an idea how to share the movies? I know I already asked that about a month ago...
read the New Testament: Well, I completly failed at this one. I have to spend more time with my Bible next year. I read more in my Bible in 2010 than the years before. Even though I haven't completed the goal I feel good about reading more.
visit three different countries: Completed!!! I visited three different countries! I visited Hungary for 2 hours :P. And I spend a week in Germany and a week in Denmark.
I hope to visit three countries next year. Or even more? Who knows...
get my first own laptop: I got my first very own laptop and I love it! I'm watchting "Remember Me" at my new laptop right now and write this blog post on my brother's old laptop I used before I got my own laptop. Two laptops are amazing
read all (7) Narnia books: Failed! I read only three of them. I liked them though, but as I said before, I don't like to read books at the moment.
sew four skirts/dresses: Only one done. I don't have much time for sewing at the moment. Maybe next year...
learn how to cook: I can't really cook, but I would say that I reached this point, because I learned to cook about four or five different things. That's a lot for a person who could only "cook" scrambled egg ;)
That's my list. Did you have some things you wanted to reach in 2010? Did you reached them?
Well at least you got some of you things accomplish!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to see Remember Me i just haven't gotten around to it :) If you like that movie though you should try Dear John (if you haven't seen it already), its one of my favorite romance movies :)
Only 3 narnia books?! lol thats ok. I think it took be a couple years to read them all..lol..
Have you seen the newest narnia movie yet?
Thanks for you comment about the music :) That stinks that you can't listen to it! I actully turned my player off because I was even getting anoyed. But I agree. I like blogs that have a music player, just not on auto, so i can pick what i want to listen to:)
I didn't really set any goals for this past year. I guess I just winged it. :)
ReplyDeleteEh, I know what's it's like to want to read but to also not feel like it. Sometimes you just can't.
I think learning a to cook a few different dishes counts as having learned how to cook. I mean you know more now than you did a year ago. :)
At least you got a lot of stuff done! That's pretty good! :D
ReplyDeleteSamantha: I haven't seen Dear John. I have heard good and bad things about it, but I think I have to watch it one day.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen the first Narnia movie. I do not go the cinema that often...
Hope: I like it to have some small goals. I'm proud of what I reached, because I'm really bad at doing what I planned. To-Do-List things are the worst things ever. I never do what I write down :D
Shaynie: Yeah! It is ;)
