Day 02 - the why.

    
 Why I started blogging and the meaning behind my blog title.

Some people started a blog, because someone of their friends/family had a blog. I started blogging, because Charles Frederick Worth designed an awesome dress for Elisabeth, the empress of Austria.

 Isn't it a lovely dress?

Yes, that's how it started. But let's tell you the whole story.

It all started in Winter 2008/2009. I would like to tell you the exact date. I wrote it down in my diary, but accidently the diary is in my room at my parents house and I'm not there. But I think it was somewhere around January...

I had to prepare a presentation about Charles Frederick Worth for school. Charles Frederick Worth was an English fashion designer and "the father of Haute Couture" (for those of you who didn't know that ;).

I was searching for some pictures of dresses he designed on google and one picture was the picture you can see above. I clicked at the picture and were linked to...yes, you guessed right...a blog.

It wasn't the first time, that I saw a blog. My brother had one, but not on Blogger. Sometimes I thought a blog would be much fun, but than I thought: "Who wants to read it?" My friends aren't people who sit around at home reading blogs or surfing on the internet that much. And I didn't want to write without having readers and commenters.

Back to the blog I found.

The blog doesn't exist anymore, so I'm sorry, I can't give you a link to the blog. 

I read nearly all the blog posts the girl wrote (many posts, trust me!) and after reading the girl's blog I clicked at the follower images and read blogs of other people and there I clicked again on the followers and so on and on...

Finally I ended up at this blog: doing the write thing

At the time I stopped by, Suzanne (the girl behind this blog) did a survey about "Home" on her blog. I joined and answered her questions and we started to write e-mails and she encouraged me to start a blog. Now I'm here! Hello! :)

That's the story behind my blog. I'm glad I did this and I'm happy about where I ended up. I could have ended up everywhere on Blogger. But I didn't. I'm here in the middle of many awesome people! You are amazing! :)

The second thing is the blog title. I'm sorry that I have to tell you, that there is no story behind the title. I just sat down and tried to find a name for my blog and it turned out, thta the name is "Outside Into Life". I think there was an other possible title, but I can't remember. I think I wrote it down in my diary, which is...yes, not here...

Oh, and how wonderful is it that this post about my blog is at the same time my 200th post?
